
Learn how to perform bedside US effectively and efficiently.
This is a series of innovative courses which will educate novices and experts essential skills in image acquisition and interpretation for a variety of Point of Care US (PoCUS) modules. Learn how to ultrasound on normal models and then practise your skills on patients with real pathology.
Further, through case discussion and image review, learn how to seamlessly integrate POCUS into the resuscitation of the critically unwell patient.
COURSE VENUE
Courses will be held at Eclat (Hawthorn East)

ERUSC - Lung

This course will teach you how US of the lungs and airway through didactic lectures and hands on sessions with models. Following this, you will learn about common pathological conditions causing dyspnoea, including COVID-19 and how to identify the features of pathology by lung US examination of real patients.
Finally, you will have a rapid fire image review and case scenarios to apply your lung US knowledge to the real world.
Course time: 9-4pm (1 day)
Lecture time: 2 hours
Model scanning: 1 hour
Patient scanning: 2 hours
1:4 instructor: candidate ration. Instructors will be emergency physicians with CCPU or extensive experience with bedside US.
