Combining Ultrasound education with Simulation training.

This is a series of innovative courses which will educate novices and experts essential skills in Point of Care US (PoCUS) and how to seamlessly integrate this into the resuscitation of the critically unwell patient. See available courses below:

ERUSC - Shock

This course will teach you how to get good on axis TTE views through didactic lectures and hands on sessions with models. Following this, you will learn about common pathological conditions presenting to the emergency departments and the features of these on echo. You will practise your echo skills on patients with pathology. Following this, you will go through SIM stations with models as patients where you will diagnose common cardiac conditions as a team.

ERUSC - Lung 

This course will teach you how to get good on axis lung views through didactic lectures and hands on sessions with models. Following this, you will learn about common pathological conditions presenting to the emergency departments and the features of these on lung ultrasound. You will practise your US skills on patients with pathology. Following this, you will go through SIM stations with models as patients where you will diagnose common conditions causing SOB as a team.

ERUSC - Trauma

This course will teach you how to get good on axis EFAST views through didactic lectures and hands on sessions with models. Following this, you will learn how to discern intraperitoneal and retroperitoneal fluid, pneumothorax, haemothorax, contusions and pericardial effusion. You will practise your US skills on patients with pathology. Following this, you will go through SIM stations with models as patients where you will determine management of the trauma patients based on the clinical picture and the US findings: CT, theatre, angio-suite or ED thoracotomy.
