Empty uterus

A positive pregnancy test with an empty uterus increases the risk that this is an ruptured ectopic pregnancy causing FF and pre-syncope. But the differential is still wide.

You look at the adnexa on the right where the patient has maximal pain:

Colour doppler shows increased vascularity in this area:

This patient was taken to theatre and had a R salpingectomy for an ectopic pregnancy
